GCC CMA Summit 2013.

Bahrain Overseas Centre of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India is organizing the GCC CMA SUMMIT 2013 on 2nd & 3rd May 2013 at Manama, Bahrain on the theme ‘MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTS – PARTNERS IN PROGRESS’, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hassan Fakhro, the Honorable Minister of Commerce & Industry, Kingdom of Bahrain. The venue of the programme is Alfanar Hall, Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Diplomatic Area, Manama. This event is part of the several Professional Development programmes being organized by the Institute and is expected to be attended by its members, the students, a host of invited guests and professionals from Bahrain, other GCC countries and India. HE Dr. Hassan Fakhro, Honourable Minister of Industry & Commerce, Kingdom of Bahrain will deliver the patron speech. The meeting will be addressed by CMA Sanjay Gupta, Director (WTO & International Affairs), ICAI and CMA Suresh Chandra Mohanty, Vice President, ICAI. Mr. Abbas A. Al Radhi, Chairman, Bahrain Accountants Association and Prof. Dr. Abdulla Y. Al-Hawaj, President, Ahlia University will also speak on the occasion. The event will include several Panel Discussions and interactive sessions by local and international experts on topics such as ‘Management Accountants as Business Partners’ and on ‘Recession and profession – CMA initiatives’, Effective cost control techniques for manufacturing with focus on petrochemical & manufacturing, Optimizing profitability in Services Industry with focus on financial services & telecom services, Contracts and their management with focus on construction & infrastructure, IT and Management Accounting – Impact, opportunities & challenges, Strategic Financial & Risk Management, Currency Unification in the current scenario, and other topics of interest to Management Accountants The event timings are Thursday, 2nd May 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. followed by Dinner and Friday, 3rd May 2013 from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. including Lunch.
